ABOUT SAM BROWN
I’m a graduate of Quinnipiac University (QU) with a BA in Game Design and if my major didn’t give it away, I am extremely passionate about game design, and the video game industry as a whole. I’m very familiar with the game design process, having created multiple projects throughout my professional and college career in different positions including team lead, artist, programmer, designer, and QA.
I have been a Digital Quality Assurance Analyst at Sesame Workshop for over 6 years now, working with people across all departments to meticulously track bugs using Jira. I am also responsible for the management of our game database using Bitbucket and Sourcetree, as well as making sure these and other related forms of content are displaying properly using our Content Management System. This position along with my experience in game design has given me the necessary skills to work in any team-based, fast-moving, detail oriented environment, going above and beyond in my responsibilities while elevating my team. I have experience creating games in Unity, both 2D and 3D, GameMaker Studio 2, Contruct 2 and HTML5. I am also proficient in a variety of programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint, in addition to having experience with the rest of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office. At QU I learned to develop technical skills and competence in electronic art and design, including C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in order to code for games and websites. I am always looking for new programs and technologies to add to my skill set! |
